Grand Palace Restaurant

I honestly believe that to get good dim sum, you've got to get out of the city. As surprising as it sounds, there's no decent and reasonable dim sum in the city now that Harbor Village has been closed for years. Grand Palace is conveniently located off the freeway near the airport and has a big enough upstairs and downstairs space for dim sum and for any occasion Chinese banquet. I enjoyed the spaciousness of the restaurant, especially because the carts had enough room to maneuver. They offered all the usual dim sum suspects including some of my favorites that are hard to find including shark fin dumplings which were absolutely massive and the tofu skin wrapped steamed pork. I will definitely keep Grand Palace in mind for dim sum and perhaps for Chinese food the next time I'm in that area.
